TOGETHER ON THE EVS CYCLE! is an international seminar for trainers of the EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle. It will be a space where to get to know other practitioners, share experiences, exchange best practices, discover new tools and get inspired!
"Together on the EVS Cycle" is an international seminar addressing trainers, facilitators and coordinators of the EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle, with the aim of developing their training competences and, ultimately, improving the quality of the EVS training/evaluation events in the frame of the Erasmus + programme.
As well as providing a general outline of the EVS Cycle in different European countries, this event aspires to be a learning space where to share views, discuss and find inspiration for future training and evaluation activities within the EVS cycle.
Specific objective of the seminar are:
- To get a general overview of how the EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle is implemented in different European countries.
- To exchange ideas and best practices around the different training and evaluation activities (especially on-arrival trainings and mid-term meetings).
- To provide a learning space for debating upon the keystones of the training/learning process in an EVS, as well as its follow-up.
- To support different national pools of trainers/facilitators to get to know each other, network and set up new synergies.

Generally speaking, the seminar will be based on the exchange of best practices and the presentation of resources and tools.
After gathering information on how EVS cycle events are carried out in different European countries, the group of participants will have the opportunity to point out and work on “the strengths and the weaknesses” of the different training/evaluation events and will collect tools and techniques to improve the quality of their work.
In addition, over the last days, particular attention will be given to how the learning process and the impact of an EVS project can be assessed and followed-up.
The seminar has been designed as a meeting of professional trainers/facilitators to share experiences and get inspired. Therefore the participants will be encouraged to actively contribute to the event and get the most out of it.
The participants should be experienced on- arrival trainings and mid-term meetings, interested in getting to know how other pools of trainers are working and, above all, willing to share their own experiences.
Their contributions not only will be relevant for the seminar itself, but will also enhance the quality of the EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle.
Moreover, the applicants must be able to express themselves and communicate in English.
In order to widen the debate around the training and evaluation processes in the frame of an EVS project, practitioners involved in other training/evaluation activities related to EVS, such as pre-departure trainings, EVS annual events, training for mentors and organisations, etc. are also invited to apply.
