BLUE EYE, REVEALED THEIR ORIGIN

• All people with blue eyes derived from a European ancestor who lived about 60 to 10 thousand years ago. In Genesis, everyone had brown eyes, while the Europeans developed a specific mutation, which subsequently spread, changing the color of the iris.
• OCA2 gene genetic variation changed the amount of pigment produced by people, who gradually changed their color brown eyes. Despite that scientists were aware of this fact about OCA2 gene, they were unable to find the source of the blue pigment, at least so far.
• After studying the gene mutation HERC2, they discovered that this was the responsibility of blue eyes, because OCA2 stop action, the gene that determines how much must produce brown pigment.
• Experts believe that this has happened when humans migrated from Africa to Europe, which means that all blue-eyed humans have a single European ancestor. The theory is based on the fact that every person with blue eyes have the same mutation.Unfortunately, the identity of this ancestor remains unknown.
